Welcome to the 2018 Tremblant World Cup Volunteer page. In preparation for the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, a FIS World Cup Moguls will be held in Tremblant on Saturday, January 20, 2018. This event would not be possible without the support of our volunteers.

AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

Banner Crew

Volunteers will assist with the installation of official world cup sponsor banners that line the inside of the moguls course.

Timeframe: Weeks prior, Training days and Competition day.

 

Toyota Open Moguls Day

As part of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup, a free activity open to all will be held Sunday, January 21 at the base of the southe side. Kids can meet the athletes and coaches of the national team who will be there to answer your questions, to take pictures and sign autographs, or to introduce you to mogul skiing on a safe course for skiers of all ages and levels.

Timeframe: Sunday following competition day.

 

Course Workers

Volunteers to assist to keep the course maintained by helping with shaping. Those volunteers interested should be comfortable working in their skis and on course.

Timeframe: Weeks prior, training days and competition day.

 

Race/Media Office

Volunteers are required to assist organizing committee members with administrative duties in the race office. Duties may include answering the radio calls to the office, organizing team packages, bib hand out, and other admin tasks as required.

Timeframe: All training days and Competition day.

 

Runners / AOS (Available on Site) / Doping

Volunteers will receive shifts without specific roles. Once they arrive on site, the volunteer office will give them instructions on their assignment. Duties could include anything from lunch runners, break coverage, or any other tasks that may arise.

Timeframe: Competition day.

 

Shuttle Driver

Drive shuttle vehicles between venues onsite including Volunteers, crew, officials, and designated guests. Must be over 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Timeframe: Competition day.

Sponsor Hospitality / VIP Host 

Act as liaison and host to corporate clients in the VIP hospitality area includes welcoming guests and ensure proper credentials are displayed before entering.

Timeframe: Competition day.

Starting / Finish Crew

Volunteers will assist with start area management and collecting the proper paperwork from the runners.

Timeframe: Competition day.

 

Timing Assistant

Volunteers operate the backup, manual timing for Mogul events for the Moguls, Dual Moguls Qualification at the start and finish areas. Duties include using a stopwatch to record manual times as backup for automated times for each competitor.

Timeframe: Competition day.

 

Volunteer Office

Volunteers are required to assist organizing committee members with administrative duties in the volunteer office. Duties may include answering the radio calls to the office, organizing supplies and lunches, and assisting with check-in of volunteers.

Timeframe: Weeks prior, Training days and Competition day.
